CKDx Classification Matrix

📋 Patient Evaluation Entry

â„šī¸ Exposome Evaluation Levels

  • e0 - No exposome assessment performed.
  • e1 - Basic interview (checklist on drugs, heat, water, work, etc.)
  • e2 - Targeted toxicology (lead, arsenic, cadmium, fluoride in biofluids).
  • e3 - Expanded profiling (multi-metal panels, pesticide exposure).
  • e4 - Geospatial mapping (environmental/geocoded exposure).
  • e5 - Advanced integrative exposome (omics, sensors, AI).

đŸ§Ŧ Genomic Technology Levels

  • t0 - No genomic testing performed.
  • t1 - Short-read targeted panel (may miss MUC1 or structural variants).
  • t2 - Large in silico panel with CNV and MUC1 analysis.
  • t3 - Whole Exome Sequencing + CNV + MUC1 + mitochondrial genome.
  • t4 - Short-read Whole Genome Sequencing (noncoding + SV detection).
  • t5 - Long-read WGS Âą methylome, RNA-seq (highest resolution).

📊 How to Interpret the Matrix

This CKDx matrix represents a patient's diagnostic trajectory. Each cell shows the depth of environmental (horizontal) and genomic (vertical) evaluation.

You can track how a patient's diagnostic profile improves through multiple rounds of investigation. Rounds (R1, R2, ...) must move forward or remain stable in exposome and genomic depth.

Orange gradient = cumulative diagnostic effort. Red dot = patient position. R label = re-evaluation round.
